There are 7 tehsils in the district: Churu, Sardarshahar, Ratangarh, Taranagar, Rajgarh, Sujangarh and Bidasar.

 

Churu:

 

          Churu is a city in the desert region of Rajastha state of India. It is known as gateway to the Thar Desert of Rajasthan. It is the administrative headquarters of Churu District. It lies in the Thar Desert on the National Highway-65 connecting Pali to Ambala and is a junction station on the railway line to Bikaner. It is near the shifting sand dunes of the Thar Desert and has grand  havelis with marvelous fresco paintings, namely Kanhaiya lal Bagla ki Haweli and Surana Haweli, with hundreds of small windows. It also has some fine Chhatris.

 

Sardarshahar:

 

    The town is named after Prince Sardar Singh, the king of Bikaner. The Terapanthi Swetamber Oswal Jain terapanthi merchant community predominates in Sardarshahar, which is situated in the Thar Desert. It has havelis adorned with fresco paintings and carved woodwork. It also has a small fort that now houses government offices. It is the birthplace of the Eleventh Acharya of Jain Swetambar Terapanth, Acharya Shri Mahashramanji. It also has the Acharya Mahapragya Samadhi Sthal. Sardarshahr is known for its fine musicians and shadi bands

 

Ratangarh:

 

        Ratangarh is a tehsil  in the Churu District in Rajasthan, India. Ratangarh was previously called Kolasar. It is famous for grand havelis (mansions) with frescoes, which is an architectural speciality of the Shekhawati region. Ratangarh is also famous for its handicraft work.

 

Taranagar:

 

        Taranagar is a city and a municipalty in Churu district. Taranagar was earlier known as Reni, named for the lady Rinkali who came here to live from Vishalnagar Koyalapatan, currently Foga in Sardarshar (Rajasthan). Reni was the headquarters of the nizamat and the tehsil of the same name in the state of Bikaner in Rajputana.

 

Rajgarh:

       

        Rajgarh is a town and tehsil in the Churu district of northern part of rajasthan state.The railway station in Rajgarh is known as Sadulpur. To distinguish Rajgarh from places with similar names,Sadulpur has become a synonym of city's name in recent times. It is close to the Haryana border. Sadulpur railway junction lies onBikaner-Churu-Delhi and Churu-Hisar railway routes.

 

Sujangarh:

       

        Sujangarh is a city in the Churu district in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Sujangarh is on the Ambala-Pali Highway (NH 65) and Hanumangarh-Kishangarh Mega Highway. It is 200 km from Jaipur, 150 km from Bikaner and 360 km from Delhi. Sujangarh is connected by railway, too. Sujangarh railway station is on the Jodhpur-Delhi (via Ratangarh) BG line. It is known for its temples, havelis and 18th-century forts. Chhapar, near Sujangarh, is famous for blackbucks and its Tal Chhapar sanctuary. The Salasar Balaji Temple is 25 km from Sujangarh.

 

Bidasar:

       

        Bidasar is a city and a municipality in Churu district in the state of Rajasthan. The marble produced there is highly valued for its beauty, strength and resistance to fire and erosion. Used for a wide variety of articles, it has also been used to construct most of the many temples of the town.
